Reviewing a proposed procedure with your chosen doctor

Uterine Polyp Removal
second opinion in Mumbai.

Medical term: Hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy

Already chosen your gynaecologist in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai to review your proposed uterine polyp removal? When you cannot attend yourself, Redwood organises your existing records and questions, takes the case to that doctor and shares their recommendations.

You choose the doctor. We take your case to them.

Understand the procedure

What is uterine polyp removal?

Uterine polyp removal takes away a growth from the lining inside the womb. It is commonly done with a hysteroscope, a thin camera passed through the cervix. It is different from removing a uterine fibroid or the womb.

This is general procedure information. Your chosen doctor assesses what applies to you.

Understand the proposed plan

What the operation may involve

Seeing the polyp

Hysteroscopy allows the clinician to see the uterine cavity and target the polyp.

Setting and pain relief

Removal may be offered in an outpatient setting or with anaesthesia. Size, symptoms and individual circumstances influence the plan.

Tissue examination

Removed tissue can be examined in the laboratory. The result helps determine whether any further care is needed.

Your decision, your questions

Questions for your chosen doctor

Choose the questions that matter to your situation. We record them in your own words and take them to the consultation.

Your existing case file

Records to organise

We organise the pelvic ultrasound or saline-scan report if performed alongside your treatment history and the written procedure recommendation. We note what you want the gynaecologist to clarify and keep the original reports available for the consultation.

Share the records you already have. This is a document checklist, not a request for new tests.

Bring together what is available

  • Pelvic ultrasound or saline-scan report if performed
  • Previous hysteroscopy, biopsy or polyp pathology
  • Bleeding history and menopausal status
  • Current medicines, including hormone treatment or blood thinners
  • Your written procedure recommendation, current prescriptions and allergy details

When you cannot attend yourself

How Redwood takes your case to your doctor

  1. Tell us whom you have chosen. Share the doctor’s name, hospital or clinic, and the decision you want reviewed.
  2. Prepare the case with us. We organise your existing records, treatment timeline and questions, then coordinate the appointment.
  3. We attend with your case. Your Care Steward takes the organised uterine polyp removal case file to the gynaecologist you selected and puts forward your recorded questions. After the consultation, we share the doctor's recommendations and consultation documents with you.

A video call during the consultation can be arranged if the doctor allows.

We respond within 12 hours of your enquiry.
