Reviewing a proposed procedure with your chosen doctor

Endometriosis Surgery
second opinion in Mumbai.

Medical term: Laparoscopic excision or ablation of endometriosis

Already chosen your gynaecologist in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai to review your proposed endometriosis surgery? When you cannot attend yourself, Redwood organises your existing records and questions, takes the case to that doctor and shares their recommendations.

You choose the doctor. We take your case to them.

Understand the procedure

What is endometriosis surgery?

Endometriosis surgery removes or treats tissue similar to the womb lining that grows outside the womb. The extent of disease, pain, fertility goals and previous treatment all influence whether and how to operate.

This is general procedure information. Your chosen doctor assesses what applies to you.

Understand the proposed plan

What the operation may involve

Extent of disease

Endometriosis can involve the ovaries or deeper pelvic structures. Bowel, bladder or ureter involvement may require additional specialist planning.

Excision and other procedures

The proposed plan may include removing lesions, treating adhesions or managing an ovarian endometrioma. The effects on ovarian reserve need discussion where relevant.

Long-term symptom care

Surgery does not guarantee that symptoms will disappear permanently. Further medical treatment or follow-up may be recommended.

Your decision, your questions

Questions for your chosen doctor

Choose the questions that matter to your situation. We record them in your own words and take them to the consultation.

Your existing case file

Records to organise

We organise the pelvic ultrasound and mri reports with images alongside your treatment history and the written procedure recommendation. We note what you want the gynaecologist to clarify and keep the original reports available for the consultation.

Share the records you already have. This is a document checklist, not a request for new tests.

Bring together what is available

  • Pelvic ultrasound and MRI reports with images
  • Previous laparoscopy, operation and histopathology records
  • Hormonal or pain treatments tried and their effects
  • Symptom timeline, fertility assessments already completed and personal fertility priorities
  • Your written procedure recommendation, current prescriptions and allergy details

When you cannot attend yourself

How Redwood takes your case to your doctor

  1. Tell us whom you have chosen. Share the doctor’s name, hospital or clinic, and the decision you want reviewed.
  2. Prepare the case with us. We organise your existing records, treatment timeline and questions, then coordinate the appointment.
  3. We attend with your case. Your Care Steward takes the organised endometriosis surgery case file to the gynaecologist you selected and puts forward your recorded questions. After the consultation, we share the doctor's recommendations and consultation documents with you.

A video call during the consultation can be arranged if the doctor allows.

We respond within 12 hours of your enquiry.
