Reviewing a proposed procedure with your chosen doctor

Brain Aneurysm Treatment
second opinion in Mumbai.

Medical term: Microsurgical clipping or endovascular aneurysm treatment

Already chosen your neurosurgeon or interventional neuroradiologist in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai to review your proposed brain aneurysm treatment? When you cannot attend yourself, Redwood organises your existing records and questions, takes the case to that doctor and shares their recommendations.

You choose the doctor. We take your case to them.

Understand the procedure

What is brain aneurysm treatment?

A brain aneurysm is a weakened, bulging area of a brain artery. Treatment may seal it with a surgical clip or an endovascular device such as coils. Monitoring is considered in some unruptured cases; a ruptured aneurysm is a different, urgent situation.

This is general procedure information. Your chosen doctor assesses what applies to you.

What the operation may involve

Aneurysm assessment

Size, location, shape, symptoms and any previous bleeding affect the recommendation.

Clipping or endovascular treatment

Clipping involves surgery around the artery. Endovascular treatment reaches it through blood vessels. Neither approach suits every aneurysm.

Follow-up imaging

Monitoring after treatment depends on the aneurysm and device used. Some approaches also require antiplatelet medicines.

Your decision, your questions

Questions for your chosen doctor

Choose the questions that matter to your situation. We record them in your own words and take them to the consultation.

Your existing case file

Records to organise

We organise the ct angiography, mr angiography or catheter angiogram reports and images alongside your treatment history and the written procedure recommendation. We note what you want the neurosurgeon or interventional neuroradiologist to clarify and keep the original reports available for the consultation.

Share the records you already have. This is a document checklist, not a request for new tests.

Bring together what is available

  • CT angiography, MR angiography or catheter angiogram reports and images
  • Records of any bleeding, stroke or previous aneurysm treatment
  • Neurological assessment and relevant family history already recorded
  • Current prescriptions and the proposed procedure details
  • Your written procedure recommendation, current prescriptions and allergy details

When you cannot attend yourself

How Redwood takes your case to your doctor

  1. Tell us whom you have chosen. Share the doctor’s name, hospital or clinic, and the decision you want reviewed.
  2. Prepare the case with us. We organise your existing records, treatment timeline and questions, then coordinate the appointment.
  3. We attend with your case. Your Care Steward takes the organised brain aneurysm treatment case file to the neurosurgeon or interventional neuroradiologist you selected and puts forward your recorded questions. After the consultation, we share the doctor's recommendations and consultation documents with you.

A video call during the consultation can be arranged if the doctor allows.

We respond within 12 hours of your enquiry.
